In Sarawak, Gongpia is sometimes hailed as the Asian bagel. It is made using a very big charcoal oven resembling the making of of naan where the doughs are stick to the wall of the oven.

It is rather soft when hot but after a while, it will become very “chewy” and is best re-heat it or served with some sort of juicy meat fillings. Nom nom. I seriously like Gong Pia!  (at www.thanislim.com)

Found a new place for foo chow kolomee.  This is called Hong Guang Man Mian… which has a hint of red yeast (a popular ingredient in foochow cuisine) in the minced pork and uses curly kolomee.  I enjoyed the flavours of this kolomee. Thumbs up! They also got kampua and gong pia!!! (at www.thanislim.com)
